Some of you will recognize this from ~WieldtheKey's journal entry (fantastic gallery btw, check it out!). I was too lame to reply to it over there, but it got me curious about you guys -

What's the origin of your DA username?

Mine is a rare version/translation of a video game character's name, haha. 8D Culgan from the Suikoden series. I used to RP as him (hohoho) and used this for my forum/board/AOL/whatever handle (lol those were the days~). I've since kept using it whenever I need a new username for something, just because it's pretty much guaranteed not to be taken by somebody else.

SO YES what about yours??

are the images I upload way huge? :<

I have a super high resolution screen, so they aren't that big to me, but I realize they might require a good deal of scrolling on other screens. What sorts of dimensions do you usually upload things at?

lol I almost always make oneof my dimensions 1000 and let PS do the rescaling. Who the hell runs on a tiny resolution any more anyway D:

Anything around 800-900 seems about right, unless it's particularly long or tall image.

I think your images always seem fine - of course, I have a widescreen monitor and I vastly prefer having a somewhat larger image to look at than a super shrunk down one. But they don't seem immense to me by any means!

I like big pictures, but if you thing it bothers people you could always have it show up on DA smaller and download it for the higher res.

I'm glad to hear they haven't been eating your screen~ and yeah, I generally just shrink them down as much as possible without losing any of the quality/lines/whatever, which I find tends to be fairly large yet. D:

lol word D: and yeah, I usually shoot for the 600-900 range for one dimension; you tend to have more detailed/wide/etc stuff than me though, haha. 8D So I'm glad you keep them fairly big!
